Remembering Lily

Today we are remembering Lily Chilvers a truly beautiful artist and soul taken from us too soon.
To honour Lily we are sharing projects we have made in her memory using the wonderful, whimsical and wacky art she shared with us all.
I hope you're enjoying this wonderful Blog Hop in memory of such an amazing artist.
And I hope you've been inspired by what beautiful projects you see throughout this hop.

I chose to do two Halloween themed tags for this hop using these adorable images Chris The Pumpkin Kid and Gloomsville Cordelia Pumpkin. These images were just fabulous to colour, I really enjoyed making them.
I hope you enjoy looking at all the other creations as you continue your journey through this amazing blog hop.
May our thoughts and prayers be with the family and friends of the truly talented Lily Chilvers

Inspired By A Song......Or Two

Happy Friday crafty friends
I've been so busy this week doing various crafty things, I thought I may as well throw in a card for good measure as I haven't made one in a wee while.....and after all, that is what got me started.
So it's my favourite shape to use........ square, this one is 6 x 6

Mat and layering papers are not anything in particular, just various ones from my stash that fitted in with my colour scheme.
The image I've chosen for this card is from The Goblyn Workshop and she is called Dahlia Of The Dead.  I've coloured her with my Promarkers using Aubergine, Plum Preserve & Spring Lilac.  Hair colours are Burnt Sienna, Cinnamon, Cappuccino and the skin colours are Coral, Sunkissed Pink and Dusky Pink.

I've used my Impression Obsession spider web die to create a border to compliment the digi stamp and added some sticky faux pearls in the corners.  I Then placed some mulberry paper flowers on top of some scrunched up sisal that I picked up at our local garden centre, and added some die cut foliage sprigs to finish off.

Two blogs that I want to share my card with this week are Left Of Center who's theme is Inspired By A Song.  Well I kinda got inspired by three songs with this marionette image, "Living Dead Girl - Rob Zombie", "Start Wearing Purple - Gogol Bordello" and "Living Doll - Cliff Richard And (of course) The Young Ones".  And finally The Corrosive Challenge who's theme is Perfectly Purple.

I hope you've enjoyed snooping around today, please share some crafty warmth and come back again soon xx

A T C Fest

How do crafters?
Here I am again with yet more ATC's...........I think I've become addicted.
I've done a set of four this time, all different images but I decided to do them all in the same colour scheme.

They started life as just plain old kraft card from my stash, which I die cut with a nestie.  I distressed the edges with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain and then randomly scattered some Aged Teal Frantage around the edge too (there I go again with the Frantage).

The first image is from The Goblyn Workshop.  Coloured with Promarkers Marine, Turquoise, Frosted Jade and then slightly lightened in the middle with a blender pen.  The die is one of my newest additions from Frantic Stamper "Dem Bones Skeleton".......I love it

The next image is also from The Goblyn Workshop, he is Evil Jester.  Promarker colours were Marine, Frosted Jade, Pastel Green and again more fading out with the blender pen.  The die used on this one is "Barbed Wire" from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Again another great image from The Goblyn Workshop, he is "Charlie Zombie Cat".  Coloured with Marine, Turquoise and Frosted Jade (no blender pen this time).  The die used is another Frantic Stamper purchase "Bats And Ghost".

And finally this is one of my favourites, the image is from Kenny K and she is Elf Queen.  Coloured with Marine, Frosted Jade, Pastel Green and the blender pen.  The spider and web die is from Impression Obsession and I've added some dabs of Cosmic Shimmer Twinkles in "Graceful Mint" to finish it off.
So with all of this sparkly Frantage and Twinkles, I'm off to play along in this weeks challenge at Wicked Wednesday ATC, who's theme this week is "Make It Sparkle"
I hope you've enjoyed stopping by and please call again soon xx

Necropolitan Eye Scream

Hello lovely crafty people.
It's time once again for another blog post to let you know what I've been up to :-)
I'm loving little ATC's at the moment, so I thought why not do some more?

I got this great little image from Arti Doodles called Eye Scream.  I printed it three times and coloured them up with my fab promarkers in three different colour schemes to represent my version of Necropolitan (Neapolitan) ice cream.

I once again couldn't resist playing with the Frantage, colour on this one is Aged Scarlet and promarkers used were Maroon, Trick Or Treat and Peony

Frantage on this one is Aged Teal and the promarkers were Surf Blue, Duck Egg and Cool Aqua

Then on this one the Frantage is Aged Wine and the promarkers were Plum Preserve, Spring Lilac and Orchid.
These ATC's all started out as black pearlescent cardstock that was die cut into shape with a nestie, then to finish off I've used one of my favourite new dies from Impression Obsession, this little cobweb and spider.  They too were coloured with promarkers to match the project.  I guess reasonable simple but hopefully effective :-)
All that remains is for me to link up my projects to these awesome challenge blogs that you NEED to check out.  One of my favourites is Left Of Center, their theme for this week is 3 Of A Kind and I think my Necropolitan Eye Scream should fit in nicely ;-)
Then we have Forever Dark 2 with Anything Goes
The Corrosive Challenge has a theme of To Die For and I think I got that covered
Then last but not least is Dream In Darkness with more Anything Goes
Please check out these challenge blogs, they are just awesome xx

An ATC.......don't mind if I do

I've recently been on a "trying something different quest" with my crafty projects.
I came across a challenge blog called Wicked Wednesday ATC and thought that I'd give it a go seeing as I'm on a bit of a roll.
Their theme this week is "Stitching Real or Faux"

I went for "Faux Stitching" around the edge of my ATC with a white gel pen.  I used kraft cardstock mounted on to black cardstock and used Aged Teal Frantage around the outside edge too.

The image I chose for this project is Howlin Helen from The Goblyn Workshop, she was coloured with my promarkers, using Cool Greys 1-5 and a hint of Powder Blue for her flesh.
This little project also fits in nicely with this months challenges at Haunted Design House whose theme is "I Love Rock And Roll".......my inspiration came from "Warlock - Burning The Witches".
Then finally Dream In Darkness, which of course is "Anything Goes"

To finish off this little ATC I die cut a spider web from Impression Obsession and decorated with cosmic shimmer Graceful Mint twinkles.  Ta dah.
Thanks for dropping by, please come back again soon. xx

Tag Team

Good evening crafters
Blog time is a little overdue for me I must say, I can't believe I didn't get chance to do a post last week :-(  What's more surprising is that yet again I have done something other than a card.
I have some yummy tags to share with you this week, and the first place I'm heading with them is over to Left Of Centre............I was mostly upset that I missed them last week.  There current challenge theme is Tic Tac Toe.

I took the diagonal line of Die Cut, Ribbon & Eyelet.
The tags are craft card and have been spritzed with purple cosmic shimmer mist and I distressed the edges with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo
The images I chose this time are from Kenny K, he's got some great digi's.

I went for a purple theme and as usual I coloured them up with my super promarkers.
I also added some metal embellishments, a few sticky gems and some blobs of stickles on the die cut foliage from Joy
As these images are quite sassy, I'm also joining in The Corrosive Challenge for the first time, there theme this time around is Hot Hot Hot...........I hope it doesn't disappoint

Thank you for stopping by and looking at my creations, I hope you've been inspired as I often am inspired from visiting other crafty blogs too.
See you again soon xx

O M G...............It's Not A Card

Hey there Happy Crafters
My my have I had a busy week, so much so that I missed one of my favourite challenges at Left Of Center :-(
But now that my little project is finally finished, I guess that means I'll be the first person to enter this week............every cloud and all that :-)
As the title suggests my project actually isn't a card, I couldn't believe it myself to be honest as I LUURV making cards.  But I had a moment of inspiration and just went with it (I'm secretly impressed with myself).
So what I have made is a door hanger thingy...........I know some crafters may think "that's so yesterday", but it was a first for me, I REALLY enjoyed making it and I think it's broadened my horizons a wee bit to do new things.
The shape itself was cut out of mount board, then I used that as a template to cut out the backing paper.  The paper was distressed around the edges and I randomly stamped the cobweb design with Tim Holtz Black Soot ink pad.  Then all the inked areas were embossed with a clear fine embossing powder.
The image I've chosen for this project is The Harvester from The Goblyn Workshop.  He was coloured with my fab promarkers and flexmarkers :- Burnt Sienna, Cappuccino, Sandstone, Champagne, Pesto, Marsh Green, Apple Cider, Cool Greys and Blue Greys.
Randomly splattered around the edge is some fab Aged Black Frantage.  This stuff is great but really tricky to heat emboss without it flying everywhere...........always a challenge.  I tried to capture the detail as best I could in the pictures.
Lastly the letters were die cut twice, in black and white then stuck together, just so that they wouldn't get lost in the background.  Ta dah.........my work here is done.
Off I now go to Left Of Center for this weeks challenge "Ink It Up", and dare I say I may even stretch myself to Dream In Darkness And Forever Dark 2.
Thanks for dropping by and come back soon xx
